Nordenfeldt Photoshot

Tue Jan 17, 2012 6:51 pm by Unia

Very Happy

Blog: Goodbye Europe, hello America!

Thu Mar 22, 2012 9:43 pm by Unia

E vechi de cateva zile, dar inca nu a fost postat aici. Mr. Green

We have been on the road for some time again and had great shows. It’s been a wonderful leg so far and the weather has been very nice in most of the places we’ve been, with sunshine and no rain. In Russia the weather was colder, but in the end quite pleasant and no one got sick.

The second part of this tour is over now. It will still take some time before I can open my home door…it’s been already 4 months since I was in my small paradise and I am still travelling with these same 5 pieces of luggage!

Think about that and think twice if you are daydreaming of having a same kind of life than I!!!! Wink

We really enjoyed the warm beginning in Lisbon, Portugal where I finally had my first concert ever in my solo career. Now writing this post seems an eternity ago… I was excited about it, since for many years I’ve read comments from my Portuguese fans that I should visit their country and only now I had the opportunity and it really was worth it. I truly hope my fans got what they expected!

The day off in Lisbon was beautiful and I got to do some shopping and sightseeing. Loved the city! Maybe there is a chance next time for me to have a classical concert in Portugal… I would love that. Let’s see what the future brings.

Our journey to Santiago de Compostela was quite short, but I had so many things to do on that day at the venue that I didn’t have a chance to see the city at all unfortunately. I was happy to practise my Spanish language skills during the show, even though my Castellano dialect is way different than the Spanish what people talks in Spain…I remember seeing some surprised faces in front of me, but it was fun Smile Nice little venue with nice screaming Spanish crowd, what else I can ask for?

I’ve been several times in Madrid, but still every time it surprises me with the huge amount of people on its streets. It can get pretty chaotic in the centre of this capital …

Blog: Short Break

Sun Feb 12, 2012 12:42 pm by Unia

So many people in Europe have suffered horrific weather conditions. Looks like the whole Europe turned out to a real winter disaster.

We survived the snowstorm even though at some point it looked pretty hopeless. We had to fly over to Sofia in order to make the show happen next day with a rental gear.

I knew that everything would be fine with the show because I could trust my great crew. We were totally delayed with everything, since only our flight arrived at 16:00 in the afternoon to Sofia and there was no time to get everything ready. We hadn’t even finished our sound check yet when the local promoter wanted to open the doors for the freezing thousands of people outside. Our apologies for the delay and what it caused. I am very happy though that finally the show could happen.

Next time Sofia will see me with Beauty and the Beat in 2013 with a big orchestra and choir.

Our amazing bus driver Mino needed to invent his way to Sofia on his own in a storm with all our gear. We were praying that he would make it in the next 24 hours because if not, our following shows in Greece would have been in danger to be cancelled. Miracle happened and finally at 06:00 in the morning we saw the bus arriving! Oh man, everyone was happy to see the bus.

It was not snowing in Greece, but it was really cold anyway. Half of my crew and band members were already getting sick and I was praying not to get the same virus. It is very hard, when you are travelling with people in a bus and sharing the same little rooms at the venues, not to get sick.

The shows in Greece were nice and the people in Thessaloniki and Athens showed their love. …

Blog: Stuck on the road in Romania

Thu Jan 26, 2012 9:43 pm by Kinga

http://www.tarja-whatliesbeneath.com/stuck-on-the-road-in-romania

It was very nice to start this journey from Czech Republic, because
we felt very comfortable there in a big rehearsal room and with people
taking care of us, that we have known for several years already. The
shows in Zlin and Pardubice were amazing. I was happy to realize that
there were lot more people in the shows than in my previous visits, so I
can only be grateful for that. We performed couple of new songs from my
future album in those shows already. It was exciting to see if people
were accepting them. It looked and felt pretty much like a great
success.

There was no free time apart from having a lunch or dinner break
since I got to Czech. I took the only chance I got to see something in
Pardubice. It was a very windy day, but the old city is beautiful.

I was expecting to have a good time in Poland and I was not wrong.
The fan club people had made us Polish flags with all of our names and
hanged them on the walls at the venue when we arrived there. It was a
nice gesture from them. I have been trying to say at least few words in
every country in their language during the concerts, sometimes with
better luck sometimes not… Gosh, aren’t these languages hard?! But it is
rather remarkable to see the reaction of the people when they
understand me We had lots of fun in Poland with the audience.

I was quite excited to hear one day before the show in Vilnius
Lithuania that it was sold out on my first visit there. …[/img(300,199):58a6][/img(300,199):58a6][/img(300,199):58a6][/img(300,225):58a6]
