Tarja announced a while ago that she had been recording three songs for a charity Christmas album.
The album will be called “Maailman kauneimmat joululaulut” and it will be released by Universal Music Finland on November 18th this year at the cost of 21 €.

Tarja Turunen performing with Tampere Filharmonia

Tarja Turunen presents her new songs in Halloween-adventure of Tampere Filharmonia.
In addition to new songs, Tarja Turunen also sings her earlier hits, I Walk Alone and Oasis.
The concert will be arranged on October 30th in the Tampere house.

The songs of Turunen have been chosen to suit particularly Halloween-theme and they are presented for the first time with a big symphony orchestra.

The adventure concert of Tampere Filharmonia is a part of the annual Valofonia-festival, in which the lights and colours create an enormous visual experience from the concert.

In the programme of the adventure concert there are classic and an exciting soundtrack in the permission in addition to Tarja Turunen's songs.

"According to Oliver Holzwarth (Tarja’s bass player during the MWS tour), Colin Richardson might produce “What Lies Beneath”. Oliver: “As far as I had been informed there were some important people in the crowd, the record company Universal sent some representative, the probable producer of her second album Colin Richardson also attended the show.” (taken from his myspace page). Colin has produced albums for bands like Slipknot, Bullet for my Valentine, Machine Head, Sepultura and Cradle of Filth."

Dupa spusele lui Oliver Holzwart (bassistul Tarjei in concertele din MWS), Colin Richardson ar putea produce "What Lies Beneath" (noul album al Tarjei). Oliver:"Dupa cum am fost informat, au existat niste persoane importante in public; reprezentanti ai companiei Universal, precum si Colin Richardson, producatorul probabil al celui de-al doilea album al Tarjei" (sursa:myspace). Colin a produs albume pentru formatii importante, ca Slipknot, Bullet for my Valentine, Machine Head, Sepultura si Cradle of Filth.



Daca va fi Colin Richardson producatorul albumului What Lies Beneath, atunci cred ca ne putem astepta, fara teama de a gresi, la un sound mult mai heavy decat pe MWS

You'll NEVER Walk Alone!...

The long touring and the promotion for the debut album are over. Has been amazing to sing for you all. Magnificent tours, beautiful places, caring and helpful people, great opportunities, many memories.

I will never ever forget this excellent beginning for my solo career. I am so happy to realize my dreams.

Let me go back and tell you about the last days of the final tour.

Like one year ago, my show in Sofia was a great success. It is very hard for me still to understand how on earth it is possible to have such an amazing audience in Bulgaria! The venue was once again totally crowded with singing and cheering people. All having big smiles on their faces during the whole concert. The band was SO happy and oh gosh, it was a thrill. One of the best audiences in the world, for sure.



How funny it was to travel from summer and being in the beach, to fall and few hours later to have already snow all over the place…



The summer was definitely left behind and cold weather waited for us when we arrived to Ljubljana, Slovenia. Local people told us though that only few days earlier it was still enough warm to swim in the ocean…it was VERY hard to believe that. It was damn cold.

I didn’t remember the venue until I went there and saw that it was going to be an open-air concert….with only few degrees above 0°!!!!!

Everybody in the band needed to prepare himself well for the cold air, but who was freezing the most, was Mike. Having shorts on…his hands got so frozen that he needed to have a blow dryer to warm them while he was playing! Can you imagine that? A blow dryer? Poor Mike.

During her stay in Czech Republic for her sold out concert in Mala Cez Arena in Pardubice, Tarja received the award for Gold Record sales. Congratulations Tarja and Universal Music Czech and all the fans that made it possible!
